WSSC was using disparate and legacy ‘non-enterprise ready” applications to manage their IT Service Management processes. WSSC requested AttivaSoft to provide an Application Road-mapping and ITIL Impression Assessment to support their desire to implement an industry leading ITSM toolset and adopt ITIL V3 Good Practices in their organization


AttivaSoft performed an ITIL Impression Assessment and Application road-mapping services focused on:

  • The capture of a high-level impression of the current effectiveness and efficiency of WSSC’s IT processes
  • Identifying existing problems as well as opportunities for high-value improvements
  • Discussion of the appropriate approach to building a committed roadmap of prioritized improvements
  • Initial prioritization and validation of identified areas for improvement that will assist in increasing the effectiveness of the adoption of the BMC ITSM toolset implementation supporting ITIL V3 good practices for ITSM operations
  • Roadmapping a direction and timeline for the ITSM Application Implementation that will parallel and support the adoption of ITIL Good Practices.


  • Walkthrough of operations and interview sessions with IT leadership, staff, and stakeholders to gain an impression of the current status (baseline) of IT Operations including; organizational structure, operational policies, processes, and procedures and finally identifying problems & opportunities
  •  Analysis of interview findings and formal presentation and discussion of findings and a roadmap forward with the project stakeholders
