Shortly after taking over leadership of the IT department at MWAA, the new CIO realized his IT department was very reactive in nature and did not consistently follow industry best practices in providing the services of IT to the Airport Authority.
AttivaSoft was awarded a contract to perform IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) assessment services that resulted in a baseline of where MWAA IT is today in terms of IT Service Management (ITSM) process maturity focused on key Service Transition and Service Operation processes. This initial step provided a baseline that will shed insight into proper value-adding next steps towards the building of, and committing to, an actionable set of process related ITIL aligned improvements for their IT environment.
AttivaSoft conducted assessment of the key targeted areas of the ITIL Service Lifecycle by assessing current documentation and SOPs, interviewing key stakeholders and IT staff, assessing current ITSM toolsets as well as staff skills.
AttivaSoft provided a 100 page Assessment Findings and Recommendations document and Executive Summary as well as a three year prioritized roadmap for process adoption and improvement which gave the CIO and his Leadership team a path to process improvement and maturity
